The University of Oregon sponsors a select number of events each year. These events must strongly align with the UO mission of the creation and transfer of knowledge, and service to the community. To adhere to these guidelines, the University of Oregon has a selection process that must be followed for all new and ongoing sponsorships and events, including direct financial or in-kind support for special events that may include (but are not limited to) nonprofit agency fundraisers (breakfasts, luncheons, dinners), conferences, speakers series and lectures, or other community activities.
Requests must meet University of Oregon policies and procedures and promote the university’s effective community engagement strategies, as managed by Government and Community Relations (collaboration, partnerships, community development, government relations, equity and inclusion, outreach), Communications, Marketing and Brand Management (organizational positioning, appropriate target audience, increase awareness, name recognition, student enrollment), and Development (increasing external support, stewarding current donors, cultivating new sources of future philanthropic support, supporting funders’ initiatives).
Please review the selection process, get answers to your questions, and begin the application process by completing the Sponsorship Request Form. Please note that we are reworking our sponsorship program to more closely align with institutional priorities, and thus may need more time to review your request. Need additional information to determine the possibility of sponsorship? Consult the UO policies for sponsorship.
