The University of Oregon is partnering with the City of Eugene, Travel Lane County, The Eugene Area Chamber of Commerce, and other community partners to bring the Neighborhood, USA (NUSA) Annual Conference to Eugene May 21-24. The annual conference provides an opportunity for neighborhood leaders and government and community engagement partners to learn from one another, share experiences and create the change necessary for healthy, safe and vibrant communities. It also provides an opportunity to honor and celebrate neighborhood groups, individuals, local governments and collaborations that help build and strengthen communities. The conference will feature a Town and Gown track of workshops and tours that will look at the relationship between universities and colleges and communities, neighborhoods, and residents. The Ford Alumni Center will be the site of the conference’s opening reception, and conference participants are offered the opportunity to tour the UO campus.
More information about the conference is available in on the NUSA website.
