UO endorses the innovation imperative


The University of Oregon joined with 250 industry, science, and higher education organizations in calling for stronger federal policies and investment to drive domestic research and development. Partners signed onto a document aimed at federal decision makers and legislators titled “Innovation: An American Imperative." The official release of the document will take place on June 23.

House approves America COMPETES, Senate working on a different approach

Budget caps continue to create problems during appropriations process


US House and Senate appropriators are in full swing working on the FY16 appropriations measures. It is increasingly clear that the restrictive caps on discretionary spending imposed by the Budget Control Act (BCA) of 2011 are creating serious problems.
