On May 26, US Senator Jeff Merkley, UO architecture and OSU forestry faculty, and DR Johnson officials met at the DR Johnson mill in Riddle, Oregon to discuss advanced wood manufacturing research and design. On June 6, the University of Oregon participated in the Portland Festival of Roses Parade. Current Oregon Governor Kate Brown and former Oregon Governor Barbara Roberts served as Grand Marshalls of the parade, and took a few moments to say hello to the Duck and a few UO students.
