The University of Oregon is joining Oregon’s other public universities and community colleges on February 12 in holding a rally to encourage the Oregon Legislature to reinvest in higher education. The rally will begin at 11:45 a.m. on the steps of the Oregon State Capitol. The Oregon Students Association, the main organizers of the event, expect around 1,000 students to participate. Rally participants will be entertained by institutions’ mascots, including the Oregon Duck, and the Emerald City Brass Band—a group of UO Students musicians. Students and education leaders will address the crowd during the rally.

UO students, faculty, and staff are invited to join the rally.
