UO to participate in Higher Education Advocacy Day on February 11

On February 11, hundreds of Oregon students, faculty, and alumni will meet in Salem for Higher Education Advocacy Day at the Oregon Capitol. Last year, as a result of the efforts of UO advocates, Oregon’s funding for public universities increased for the first time in nearly a decade. The state faces significant budget gaps in the next biennium, and this day is an important opportunity for UO advocates to ask the legislature to prioritize higher education. Anyone affiliated with one of the seven public universities in Oregon can sign up to attend. Breakfast, lunch, and fun gear to show your pride in helping Oregon students will be provided.
