2017 ITGA Conference: Using guest wireless while on the University of Oregon campus

Directions

1) On your computer or mobile device, select the UO Guest wireless network.  You will be redirected to the UO Guest Connect page.

2) Select Create an account at the bottom of the page.

3) Provide the requested information, check the box indicating you accept the terms and conditions (UO's Acceptable Use Policy), and then click Register.

4) Click Send password via email and/or Send password via text message. (Note: The system may not acknowledge the button click, but it is sending you the message.)

Note: Some mobile devices may have fonts that don’t sync with the password message; if you receive a text with a message that contains a password that doesn’t work, contact the UO Tech Desk at 541-346-HELP (4357).

5) Once you've received a message containing your password, click Log in.

6) Enter your assigned username and password. You should then be connected to the UO Guest wireless network.

After the initial registration process, you can use wireless by selecting the UO Guest wireless network on your computer or mobile device and logging in with your assigned username and password, if necessary.

If you have any problems logging on to or using UO guest wireless:

1) If you are having trouble logging in, refresh the web site. If that doesn’t work please call the UO Tech Desk 541-346-HELP (4357). The Tech Desk is open from 8 a.m. – 7 p.m. all conference dates. It is not open on Memorial Day or on weekend days.

2) This is important: Identify yourself as an ITGA Conference participant and tell the Tech Desk personnel your conference is at the EMU.

3) Almost always the issue can be solved over the phone. If this isn’t possible, the Tech Desk may be able to send a technician to the EMU.
